I am an experienced Insurance Lawyer with a deep understanding of the Mutual Insurance community.  I was was called to the Bar in 1997 and practiced law in a rural general practice until joining Formosa Mutual Insurance in September of 2000 as Staff Counsel and Network Administrator.  I worked in various roles with Formosa Mutual, and its successor, Trillium Mutual, until July of 2023.  Most recently, I was Advisor, Compliance and Regulatory Services and Corporate Secretary.  I am well known with OMIA Members, having recently Chaired the Regulatory Compliance Working Group.  I have also represented the interests of Mutuals on the FSRA Technical Advisory Committee for Insurance Prudential Regulation and Supervision.  I have decades of experience in insurance litigation, corporate governance and compliance.  My private consulting practice focuses on Insurance Law advice, Claims Assessment and Settlement Review, Compliance and Governance. My office is in Hanover Ontario.  I am prepared to travel throughout Ontario to collaborate effectively with clients;  I am also equipped to work remotely wherever possible to reduce client costs.
